Property Transaction Fees

We help you work out in advance of the property transaction what your exact fees will be. Of course, it varies depending on your specific circumstances, and whether you are buying or selling the property. Use these calculators to get an estimate.

For Buyers

Stamp Duty

Stamp duty in Victoria is payable at settlement. Get an estimate of stamp duty.

Transfer Registration Fees

When the property is transferred you will pay the titles office a transfer registration fee at settlement, calculated based on the higher of the sale price or market value. Get an estimate of the transfer fees.

Stamp Duty – pensioners

There are special concessionary stamp duty rates for pensioners. Get an estimate of pensioner stamp duty.

For Buyers and Sellers

Conveyancing fee

Get a quote from Conveyed based on your specific conveyancing needs.

PEXA fee

Property Exchange Australia, is the electronic platform that a conveyancer uses to settle your property. The most common fee is the “Transfer Titles” fee payable at settlement. Get an estimate.

Bank fees

Any bank fees, including lenders mortgage insurance, that is deducted from your loan.

Registration fees

Fees for the discharge of mortgage and registration of mortgage, if any.

Seller Shortfall Gap

For sellers, the shortfall gap you need to pay if your payout figure from the mortgagee on title is greater than the amount payable by the buyer at settlement.

Buyer Shortfall Gap

For buyers, the shortfall gap you need to pay (if any) between the amount owing at settlement and funds available from your loan.
